Arūnas Kundrotas

Arūnas Kundrotas (born March 5, 1963 in the Rajongemeinde Pasvalys ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

In 1981 Arūnas Kundrotas graduated from the middle school in Linkuva in the district of Pakruojis. In 1986 he finished his business studies at Vilnius University .

1986–1990 Arūnas Kundrotas worked at the Economic Institute of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences ( Lietuvos mokslų akademija , Ekonomikos institutas ). 1990–1996 Kundrotas worked as an economist in the Department of Environmental Protection, later in the Ministry of Environment. In 1994 he became Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment, 1997–2000 advisor on EU integration issues, he took part in negotiations with the EU in the field of the environment. From July 5, 2001, he was Environment Minister of the 12th Lithuanian Government and from December 7, 2004 to January 2008, Environment Minister of the 13th Government. Kundrotas is a member of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party .

Kundrotas is married to Diana Kundrotienė and they have two daughters.
