Henrikas Žukauskas

Henrikas Žukauskas (born July 19, 1951 in Šančiai , Kaunas municipality ) is a Lithuanian politician and architect .

education

In 1970 Henrikas Žukauskas graduated from Juozas Naujalis Art Middle School , the painting department. In 1975 he graduated from the Architecture Faculty of the Institute of Civil Engineering Vilnius (now Gediminas Technical University ). From 1975 to 1985 he worked as an architect in the urban development institute in Kaunas . He then worked as an architect at the Kaunas Institute for Communal Services and Radio Factory until 1990.

From 1990 to 1991 Žukauskas was a councilor and deputy mayor of Kaunas municipality . From 1991 to 1997 he worked as an entrepreneur in his own company “Style” and TV “Kaunas Plius TV”. Since 1998 he has been working in Vilnius Municipality. From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Lithuanian Seimas and (until July 2001) Minister of the Environment of Lithuania. From 2002 to 2003 he was a member of the Vilnius City Council .

Henrikas Žukauskas is married to Ona. They have a son, Henrikas, who works as an actor and translator, and a daughter, who is also an architect.
