Naming

His name literally means "Lake of Satan". According to legend, it was created by an evil magician who fought against the local farmers there for years. When he was fatally wounded at the site of today's lake, he rammed his spear into the ground with the last of his strength and uttered the curse: "This shall be the devil's home", whereupon the earth collapsed under him, devoured him and itself filled the hole with water.
