Daniel Rousta (born May 21, 1973 in Tübingen ) was a political official in the Ministry of Finance and Economics of the State of Baden-Württemberg .

biography

Rousta completed a law degree at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn . From 2002 to 2007 he headed the office of the deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group Nicolette Kressl . From 2008 to 2010 he was the managing director of Netzwerk Berlin , an association of SPD members of the Bundestag. From May 1, 2010 he headed the state election campaign of the SPD in Baden-Württemberg. In May 2011 Rousta was as Assistant Secretary for Office of the Chief of Nils Schmid -run Ministry of Finance and Economy of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg appointed. In his office, Rousta was responsible for SME policy, electromobility and business start-up support. On April 21, 2012 he was dismissed from this position by Schmid. In a small request to the state government, the FDP MP Hans-Ulrich Rülke asked how the ministry behaved towards Rousta using the large state coat of arms on his private Facebook page and writing that he would rather “go to the dentist than to one Event of the Federation of Expellees Go ". Rousta had previously referred to the Liberals as “FDPissers” after Schmid's rescue from Schlecker had failed due to resistance from the Bavarian FDP. Schmid replied that the use of the coat of arms and the named statement were not acceptable and that Rousta was dismissed for this reason. Rousta said on his dismissal that he wanted to be a “wanderer between the worlds”, on the one hand head of a ministry and on the other hand “mouthpiece to a generation or a milieu that established parties and especially governments” did not reach. Contrary to different press reports, Rousta did not resign from the SPD, but only switched to another regional association. He justified this step through differences with Claus Schmiedel . Rousta then worked again as the office manager of a member of the Bundestag and organized the establishment of the Economic Forum of the SPD e. V., whose managing director he was from June 1, 2015 to September 30, 2017.
