German employers' day

The German Employers 'Day is an event organized by the Federation of German Employers' Associations (BDA). Since 1999 it has taken place at the end of each year in Berlin . Top representatives from business, politics and society meet to exchange ideas and generate impetus for reforms in the field of business and politics. In the past, topics were u. a. Planned new regulations for co-determination (2004), the introduction of minimum wages (2008), the demands made by the SPD and trade unions for wage increases (2009) and the government's health reform (2010).

According to the organizer, the German Employers' Day is the most important economic policy conference in Germany. A total of around 1,500 guests are present each year, including usually the Federal Chancellor . 150 accredited journalists as well as a live broadcast on television and on the Internet testify to a high level of media interest. The event is financed by numerous sponsors , supporters and supporters. It is organized by the Society for Marketing and Service of German Employers (GDA) on behalf of the BDA.

Employer award for education

The employer award for education is awarded annually as part of the event. Employers use this to award projects which, in their opinion, improve the quality of the education system. It is awarded in changing categories tailored to the theme of the employers' day.
