The Koenigswinter Workers' Center (AZK) is the training and conference center of the Christian Social Policy Foundation. V. (CSP). It is an institution for political youth and adult education recognized by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the federal government. One focus of the educational work is training for works and staff councils in accordance with the Works Constitution Act and the Personnel Representation Act. The education and conference center is located directly on the banks of the Rhine in Johannes-Albers-Allee on the southern edge of the Niederdollendorf district of Königswinter . The house is embedded in the Siebengebirge with the Petersberg and Drachenfels.

Koenigswinter Employee Center

As early as 1925, Christian-social employee training was carried out in Königswinter by the Christian trade unions in the Weimar Republic. The association Arbeiterwohl e. V. in Cologne had dedicated itself to the topic of educational work and operated a conference center in the Adam-Stegerwald-Haus until the Nazi regime stopped these activities. In 1978, in line with this Christian-social tradition, the Foundation for Christian Social Policy was established. V. (CSP); In October 1986, the foundation's training center, the AZK, was opened in the presence of the then Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl and Federal Labor Minister Norbert Blüm and has since offered political employee education based on Christian-social values. Until the relocation of the seat of government to Berlin (1999/2000), the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) also had its seat in the education and conference center of the CSP Foundation.

Full-time education officers offer political education as well as professional training for various target groups. Seminars and events are tailored to individual needs and take place in an educational program that usually covers the following topics:

The Christian Social Policy Foundation V. has set itself the task of promoting the Christian-social idea in society, trade unions and politics. For this purpose, educational programs are initiated and seminars, conferences and specialist meetings are offered nationwide. On October 1, 2016, the Johannes-Albers-Bildungsforum gGmbH was founded by the CSP e. V. came into being in order to bundle their educational activities. The foundation is closely linked to the Christian Democratic Workers 'Union (CDA), the CDU's workers' organization . The training center has been recertified according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015 since November 2017. In 2017 the hotel sector was recertified by DEHOGA and awarded "3 stars *** superior". The CSP e. V. publishes a series of publications under the title Königswinterer Notes .

Cooperations

The AZK works with partners in political education such as trade unions and professional associations or church groups. At the European level, in cooperation with the European Center for Workers ' Questions (EZA), there is a lively exchange with other workers' organizations in Europe. The CSP Foundation is also a member of the Working Group of Educational Institutions and Academies in North Rhine-Westphalia (ABA) and of the Association of Educational Centers in Rural Areas eV “Learning in the Green” and thus maintains contacts with further education institutions throughout Germany.
