Legal situation in Germany

In Germany, the employment subsidy is regulated by Section 59 of Book 9 of the Social Code (SGB IX). According to this, workshops for people with disabilities have the right to receive a work subsidy from the responsible rehabilitation provider to pay out to people with disabilities who are employed in the work area in addition to the remuneration according to Section 58 (3) SGB IX. This is 52 euros per month for each person with disabilities employed in the work area. However, the remuneration together with the employment subsidy may not exceed the amount of 351 euros. If the wage is higher than 299 euros, the monthly employment subsidy is the difference between the wage and 351 euros.

The 2nd paragraph stipulates that the employment subsidy is not taken into account as income for social benefits , the payment of which is dependent on other incomes .
