Working Group on Catholic Religious Education and Catechetics

The Working Group on Catholic Religious Education and Catechetics (AKRK) is a professional association of scientifically working religious educators in German-speaking countries.

The association organizes a scientific congress every two years. There are sections on didactics , empirical religious education and extracurricular religious education and catechesis . Working groups have been set up for historical religious education and for women religious educators, another one serves the exchange of religious educators from the Rhine-Main area. The events of the sections and working groups take place in the time between the congresses.

The AKRK publishes the journal Religionspädagogische Posts (rpb) for which the editorial staff is responsible for the content and which is open to all authors. The criterion is the quality of the contributions in the subject area religious education and catechetics .

The AKRK is a member of the Society for Specialized Didactics and is associated with the German Catechist Association .
