Heinrich Scholz was born on January 19, 1933, the son of a Regensburg railway official. At grammar school he only had the best grades, and his teachers encouraged the highly gifted to become an art teacher or mathematician. But then he studied mechanical engineering in Munich and became a graduate engineer. He worked at the Institute for Wood Research at the University of Munich, but did not finish his dissertation and abruptly became an artist on July 1, 1960 in order to live as a freelance painter, draftsman and caricaturist. In 1961 he had his first exhibition in Regensburg. Since moving to Fürstenfeldbruck, he was a member of the Fürstenfeldbruck artists' association and was a long member of the board of the “House 10” working group and the Association of Visual Artists (in the DGB). As a committed Marxist, he helped found the DKP in 1968 and joined the party executive board with his Eichenau friend Werner Feldmann. Later, however, he left the party disappointed. In 1962 he joined the art union and remained in the union movement all his life. In 1987 he ran for the peace list for the Bundestag. Guido Zingerl is married to Ingrid Scholz. His wife not only supported him materially, but was always an important point of reference and a moral supportive force. His hometown Regensburg honored him on his 75th birthday with a large retrospective, but in his hometown Fürstenfeldbruck he rarely appears in public. However, one of his works hangs in a prominent place in the district office. For the 80th birthday, the city of Fürstenfeldbruck organized a large retrospective as part of the anniversary program “750 Years of Fürstenfeld”.

Works

Zingerl's works on paper are mostly black and white, the acrylic paintings he paints on wooden panels. Most of his works are dominated by political-satirical statements on contemporary history, but there are also many sensitive colored landscapes. His works “are just as annoying as his campaigns against the wealthy privatizers, globalizers and the more or less God-sent representatives of public offices in Bavaria. For this, Zingerl was and is insulted and highly praised in equal measure. ”There are color catalogs for several exhibitions.

Works by the artist are u. a. in the Fürstenfeldbruck district office, in "Haus 37" in Hauptstrasse. 37 (VHS house) in Eichenau and in the Fürstenfeldbruck city museum
