Labor dispute record

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The labor dispute balance sheet (also strike balance sheet) is the recording of the labor disputes , i. H. Strike and lockout for lost working days. In Germany, the labor dispute record is recorded by the Institute for Economic and Social Sciences (WSI) of the union -affiliated Hans Böckler Foundation .

Key figures

  • lost working days
  • Participants in strikes
  • Collective bargaining disputes with work stoppages

The balance sheet serves to compare the labor disputes in different years and different countries. It is often received by the German media.

criticism

The WSI's labor dispute balance sheet is only an estimate based on union reports, press releases and additional research by the institute. On this basis, this calculates the total number of industrial action-related strike days for all employees involved. The Federal Employment Agency shows fewer strike days per employee in its published statistics. This information is based on information provided by the employer. In the opinion of the WSI, however, these are incomplete.
