Julius Forster

Julius Forster (* 1993 in Regensburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Julius Forster's parents are jazz musicians . From the age of eleven he was a member of the youth play club of the Regensburg Theater, where he gained his first stage experience. At the age of 16 he played the puck in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream , and later also the student Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening . He dropped out of school and left high school before graduating from high school. The first time he auditioned for acting training, he was immediately accepted.

From 2010 to 2014 Forster then studied acting at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (graduation 2014). During his training he played at the Wilhelma-Theater in Stuttgart (2012; as Sir Andrew in Was ihr wollt ), at the Schauspiel Stuttgart , at the Freiburg Theater and in the fourth year of studies in the 2013/14 season at the Landestheater Tübingen . At the Landestheater Tübingen he played in 2013 a. a den Michel in Der Parasit by Friedrich Schiller .

Since the 2014/15 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim . He made his debut there in September 2014, in keeping with Shakespearian tradition, in a female role, as Margret, Hero's maid, in Much Ado About Nothing . Forster also appeared at the Nationaltheater Mannheim as Wendy's brother Michael in the Christmas play Peter Pan (premiere: November 2014), as Andres in Woyzeck (2014; as role assumption), as Räuber Roller in Die Räuber (premiere: June 2015; director: Calixto Bieito ) and as Rosetta in Leonce and Lena (Premiere: December 2015; Director: Sebastian Schug ). In the 2015/16 season he took on the title role in Hamlet at the Nationaltheater Mannheim (premiere: February 2016; director: Elmar Goerden ). In the 2016/17 season he embodied Orlando in Susanne Lietzow 's Shakespeare production As You Like It .

Forster also works for film and television. In September 2012 he was seen in an episode role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Stuttgart ; he played David Schrader, the male part of a sibling couple who took over financially by buying a small workshop. In March 2016 he was again in an episode role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Stuttgart , this time in a leading role, as an upper school student Tim Bauer. In the final episode of the 4th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose , which first aired in March / April 2018, he also had an episode role.

Forster worked as a speaker for various productions at SWR and Arte . He lives in Mannheim .
