Weissenhorn Archaeological Collection

The Weißenhorn Archaeological Collection (also Archaeological Museum Weißenhorn ) is an archaeological museum in the Swabian town of Weißenhorn in the Neu-Ulm district. The museum, supported by the city and the support group of the Archaeological Museum der Stadt Weißenhorn eV, was set up in 1979 in six rooms on the second floor of the former school building. On an area of ​​around 100 m² it presents the archaeological finds from the Paleolithic up to the 19th century that have been recovered and conserved in the area around Weißenhorn . The exhibits include Neolithic stone tools , grave goods from Bronze Age barrows , household items and coins from the Romans, as well as ceramic shards from the 11th to 19th centuries, which numerically make up the largest proportion.

The museum is open every second and fourth Sunday of the month and by appointment.
