Archiv für Wärmewirtschaft und Dampfkesselwesen was a German trade journal that was published from 1920 to 1944. It was published by the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

history

Against the background of the coal shortage that began in the First World War and the associated forced economy, the VDI founded a "Committee for Rational Heat Management" in autumn 1918, which worked out the drafts of three leaflets until its first meeting in September 1919. Together with the VDEh and the Association of Electricity Works , the “Main Office for Heat Management” was founded in 1920, which was located in the Berlin VDI building . The outsourced thermal technology part of the technical magazine show , which was published as a special sheet for thermal management , initially served as a mouthpiece . In the autumn of 1920, the archive for heat management emerged as an organ of the main office for heat management. The journal initially consisted mainly of bibliographical references, but was expanded over the years to include original articles. In 1926 the name was changed to Archive for Heat Management and Steam Boilers . The magazine was discontinued in 1944. After the Second World War , the VDI launched the magazine fuel, heat, power in 1949 as the successor to the archive for heat management and steam boilers .
