Arena Nova

The Arena Nova is a multi-purpose hall in Wiener Neustadt .

history

The multifunctional hall was completed in 1994 and is the venue for a large number of events, for example trade fairs, sporting events, balls, concerts and even congresses. Klaus Schneeberger , who initiated the hall, has been CEO of Arena Nova BetriebsgmbH since 1990 . The basis for the construction of the Arena Nova was that the then Deputy Governor Liese Prokop was looking for a hall to host the 1995 Women's Handball World Championship that could accommodate at least 4,000 visitors.

The previous exhibition area - what is now the Civitas Nova district - was thus made available and made available for the construction of around 600 apartments and the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences .
