Ares oasis

The Ares Oasis is an Antarctic oasis on the east coast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It consists of pools in a damp subsoil and is located on the western flank of the Ares cliff .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1994 based on the name of the neighboring cliff. This is named after Ares , the god of terrible war, bloodbath and massacre from Greek mythology.
