The Cóndor de Plata or Premios Cóndor de Plata (German: Silver Condor ; English: Silver Condor ) is an Argentine film prize awarded by the Association of Argentine film critics and film journalists Asociación de Cronistas Cinematográficos de la Argentina (ACCA) .

history

The Asociación de Cronistas Cinematográficos de la Argentina (ACCA) was founded in 1942. It has been awarding the film prize annually since 1943. In the years 1958, 1975 to 1980 and 1984, the award was not possible for political reasons. The award is sometimes jokingly referred to as the Argentine Oscar .

Price categories

The Cóndor de Plata is awarded in a total of 21 categories, including feature film, documentary film, animation film, short film, direction, screenplay, camera, sound, music, leading actor, young actor, first work, Latin American film and foreign (non-Spanish-speaking) film .
