Aria is a Franco-Belgian comic series started in 1980 .

Aria is a warrior and travels with her horse Furia through a medieval world full of danger to help the weak and helpless. She fights against villains and monsters and is not deterred by magic and sorcery. Several times she has to deal with her difficult past. She has the son Sacham with her childhood friend Tigron.

Michel Weyland wrote and drew the fantasy series. The series appeared in 1980 in the Belgian and from 1980 to 1988 in the French edition of Tintin and between 1990 and 1993 in Hello Bédé . Some short stories have been published in Super Tintin . After 2002 there was also a preprint in Spirou at irregular intervals. The album began in 1982 with Le Lombard and was continued in 1994 by Dupuis . In the German-speaking area, Feest published some episodes in a different order and published several short stories in Comicspiegel , each under the title Ariane . More stories followed at Epsilon, this time under the original title Aria .
