Estelle Laura Johnson (born July 21, 1988 in Maroua ) is a Cameroonian soccer player who has been under contract with Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2019 season . Johnson, who has a US father and a Malian mother, grew up in Fort Collins , Colorado , USA .

Career

From 2010 to 2011 Johnson played for the WPS - Franchise Philadelphia Independence , before they become the Australian W-League participant Sydney FC had to borrow. For the 2012 season, Johnson extended her contract in Philadelphia, but the entire league was dissolved before the start of the season and she signed instead with the WPSL elite participant New York Fury .

At the beginning of 2013, Johnson was committed to seventh place by Western New York in the first round of the NWSL's supplemental draft . She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against Sky Blue FC . After Johnson had already paused the entire 2014 season, she switched to league rivals Washington Spirit in February 2015 in exchange for Toni Pressley .
