Nahomi Kawasumi ( Japanese 川 澄 奈 穂 美 , Kawasumi Nahomi ; born September 23, 1985 in Yamato , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese soccer player .
Career
society
Kawasumi played from 2008 to 2016 with the Japanese first division club INAC Kobe Leonessa and was during the 2014 season of the National Women's Soccer League at the Seattle Reign FC borrowed. In June 2016, she rejoined Seattle Reign FC.
National team
Kawasumi won the bronze medal with Japan at the 2005 Universiade . Her first international game for Japan she completed on March 31, 2008 against Taiwan . She played for Japan at the 6th Women's World Cup in 2011 . Kawasumi scored two goals in the semi-finals in a 3-1 win over Sweden . The second goal was nominated for the goal of the tournament and voted the second most beautiful goal by FIFA.com users.
Kawasumi was also part of the Japanese squad for the London Olympics . It was used in all six games, u. a. in the final, lost 1: 2 against the USA , and won the silver medal with their team.
It was also nominated for the 2015 World Cup and used in two group games and the four games of the final round. In the first group game against Switzerland , however, she was only substituted on in the 90th minute. She started against Cameroon , but was substituted off after 55 minutes. In the last group game, when coach Norio Sasaki spared some regular players, she was not used. In the last 16 against the Netherlands , record national player Homare Sawa came on for them in the 80th minute . She then played twice over the full 90 minutes. In the semi-finals, Englishwoman Laura Bassett extended a cross from Kawasumi into the English penalty area in stoppage time to score a 2-1 winner for Japan into her own goal. In the final against the USA, their team conceded four goals within the first 16 minutes. Kawasumi was then able to prepare the 1: 4 through her teammate Yūki Ōgimi , but was then substituted after 39 minutes and replaced by attacker Yuika Sugasawa , who was unable to turn the game.
