Aristeas of Megalopolis
Aristeas ( ancient Greek Ἀριστέας ) from Megalopolis was a Greek sculptor who worked in the first half of the 2nd century BC. Was active in the shrine of Zeus in Olympia .
He is only known by his inscription on a statue base found in Olympia, which identifies him as the son of Nicandros. On the base there was a statue that was donated by the megalopolitan after Olympia. It is unclear what kind of foundation it was.
