Cieszysław (German Augusthof ) is a village in the Gmina Warnice (rural municipality Warnitz) in the Powiat Pyrzycki (Pyritzer Kreis) of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 37 kilometers southeast of the city of Stettin and about eleven kilometers northeast of the city of Pyritz ( Pyrzyce ).

Neighboring places are in the northwest Stary Przylep (Old Prilipp) and in the north Nowy Przylep (New Prilipp) . In the southeast , the neighboring village of Zaborsko (Sabes) adjoins immediately, separated by the Gowienica (Hufnitz) river . The Plönebruch stretches to the south and west, and about one kilometer south of the village lies the Zaborsko (Sabessee) .

history

The village emerged from an estate that was founded by the free school from the neighboring village of Sabes , called Lindemann. In 1819, as part of the regulation of the landlord and peasant conditions (see: Prussian Agrarian Constitution ) in the village of Sabes, he received his land and the church land he leased in an inseparable context. His estate was named Augusthof at his request in 1820 .

Later, the Seehof Vorwerk , which is now desolate, was also laid out on the banks of the Sabessee .

In Heinrich Berghaus ' Landbuch des Duchy of Pomerania (1868) Augusthof appeared as an estate belonging to Sabes among the rural villages in the district of the Pyritz Domain Rent Office in the Pyritz district . At that time Augusthof had 79 residents, at that time Augusthof had nine residential buildings and three commercial buildings. Augusthof belonged to the municipality of Sabes, but formed an independent property tax collection district.

Before 1945 Augusthof belonged as part of the rural community Sabes to the Pyritz district of the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War, Augusthof, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name "Cieszysław". Today it forms its own Schulzenamt in Gmina Warnice (municipality of Warnitz) .
