history

The village emerged from the manor Barnimskunow g in neighboring Barnimskunow . This manor was originally an old fiefdom of the noble von Billerbeck family and had passed through different hands since the 18th century.

In 1852 the then owner of Barnimskunow g, a certain Rudolf Pufahl, relocated the farm from Barnimskunow to a new location on the road to Klemm . At the same time he dissolved the Vorwerk Thiedensfelde, which had been founded by a previous owner in 1819 . The new settlement comprised five residential buildings and nine farm buildings and had about 100 residents. In 1854 Hermann von Boltenstern acquired the manor. In popular parlance , the settlement was known as Lehmquatsch or Lehmsdorf because of the loamy soils there , so that the owner Hermann von Boltenstern tried to get an official place name of his own. At his suggestion, the estate was given the official place name Waitendorf in 1863 .

In 1910 the Waitendorf manor had 136 inhabitants. The manor district belonged to the Pyritz district .

After the Second World War, Waitendorf, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name "Wójcin". Today the village forms its own Schulzenamt in Gmina Warnice (Warnitz municipality) .
