The Gmina Warnice ( German  municipality Warnitz ) is a rural municipality in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . She belongs to the Powiat Pyrzycki (Pyritzer Kreis) . The administrative headquarters are in Warnice (Warnitz) .

General

The rural municipality lies in the area between Jezioro Miedwie (Madüsee) , Mała Ina (Faule Ihna) and Płonia (Plöne) and is crossed by the Gowienica (Hufnitz) river , which flows into the Madüsee.

The rural community covers an area of ​​85.86 km² and is therefore exactly 100th of the 114 municipalities in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . At the same time, it takes up 11.8% of the area of ​​the Powiat Pyrzycki . The community has about 3,500 inhabitants. All districts have the postcode 74-201.

The Gmina Warnice is traversed in a north-south direction by the Voiwodschaftsstraße 106 , which runs between Stargard and Pyrzyce on a section of the route of the former German Reichsstraße 158 ( Berlin - Lauenburg in Pomerania ).

The Stargard in Pomerania – Pyritz railway line , which was extended to Jädickendorf in 1899 and connected to the line to Wriezen , has been running through what is now Gmina Warnice . The section from Pyrzyce to Godków was closed in 1992, reactivated in 2008 as a freight line between Stargard and Kozielice and has since been closed again. The Gmina Warnice was connected to the railway line with the train stations Warnice-Dębica (Warnitz-Damnitz) and Obryta (Groß Schönfeld) .
