Seehof (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Seehof is a deserted area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland , about 37 kilometers south-east of Szczecin .

The Vorwerk Seehof was laid out in the 19th century, at least after 1820 and before 1868, as the only Vorwerk of the Augusthof estate . It was about a kilometer southwest of Augusthof on the northwestern bank of the Sabessee . A brick factory was set up nearby.

Before 1945, Seehof, like Augusthof, belonged as part of the rural community of Sabes to the Pyritz district of the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War, Seehof, like all of the Pomerania, came to Poland. Today the place is desolate. The desert lies in the area of Gmina Warnice (rural municipality Warnitz) in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .
