Ariston Publishing House

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ariston Verlag was a Swiss Esoteric publishing house based in Geneva , who was known for his publications on esotericism. Since 2008 Ariston has been an imprint of the Random House publishing group , which publishes guides and non-fiction books on the subjects of personality development, applied psychology, medicine and health.

The publishing house was founded on August 12, 1964 by Heinz Bundschuh (* 1930) originally under the company name Ramon F. Keller Verlag . His wife Aurelia Bundschuh (* 1933) worked as an author, translator and editor. The publisher's biggest book hit was The Power of Your Subconscious by Joseph Murphy . In the year of publication of the first edition (1967) only 300 copies were sold, but in the meantime over 2.5 million copies have been sold in Germany alone. In 1973/1974 the company was converted into an AG and renamed Ariston Verlag AG . In the following years the company expanded and branches were set up in Munich ( Ariston Verlag GmbH & Co. ), where editing and sales were based under the direction of Frank Auerbach, and in Cologne (press and PR).

In 1994 the Ariston Verlag AG was taken over by Monika Roell and in 1999 it was merged with the Heinrich Hugendubel Verlag , under whose roof Ariston, based in Kreuzlingen and Munich, was continued. Ariston has been part of the Random House publishing group since 2008 . Ulrich Genzler is the publishing director.
