ARMIGER was a rocket with radar technology developed in Europe. The project has been discontinued.

description

Armiger ( english A nti R adiation M issile with I ntelligent G uidance & E xtended R is for anti-radar missile with intelligent steering and extended range ) was the name given to an air-to-surface missile to combat radars , especially from anti-aircraft missile systems . Based on the air-to-air missile Meteor , this missile was to be developed by the German armaments manufacturer Diehl BGT Defense , among other things as a potential successor to the AGM-88 HARM . Due to the smaller dimensions and the lower weight of the ARMIGER compared to the HARM, the carrier aircraft (Tornado ECR) should carry a maximum of 4 ARMIGER (instead of 2 HARM).

The ARMIGER was developed from the Franco-German Aramis development program, until France withdrew from the project. The project was last in a technology demonstration program and was then discontinued.
