Arm support rail

An arm support splint is used for patients with arm paralysis, for example after a stroke , or in the treatment of central and peripheral paresis , especially in the acute and sub-acute phase.

By using the arm positioning splint, the muscle tone decreases and there is a reduction in swelling in the finger joints and in the wrist. Pain-free positioning of the hemiplegic arm is also possible.

Legal classification and norms

The arm support rail is a recognized rehabilitation aid in accordance with the aid guidelines of the Federal Joint Committee and is defined in the aid list of the statutory health insurance under product group 23.10.
