Arnaud Desplechin
Arnaud Robert Jean André Marie Desplechin (born October 31, 1960 in Roubaix ) is a French filmmaker .
Life
The writer Marie Desplechin and the screenwriter Raphaëlle Desplechin are his sisters, his brother Fabrice Desplechin, who is a full-time diplomat, he often uses in his films.
He studied at the University of Paris III and graduated from IDHEC in 1984. With his fellow students Pascale Ferran , Noémie Lvovsky , Éric Barbier and Éric Rochant , he continued to work together after completing his studies. He started out as a cameraman, his first full-length feature film Die Wache (1992) earned him a nomination in Cannes and his co-author and leading actor Emmanuel Salinger earned him the César .
