Emmanuel Salinger (* 1964 ) is a French actor .

Life

Emmanuel Salinger studied acting at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques in Paris . He then played theater and made his debut in the 1991 drama The Life of the Dead, staged by Arnaud Desplechin , as Bob O'Madden Burke on the screen alongside Thibault de Montalembert and Emmanuelle Devos . With his second role, the portrayal of Mathias Barillet in Desplechin's following thriller Die Wache , Salinger was awarded the French César Film Prize in 1993 as the best young actor.

Parallel to his acting career, Salinger also teaches at La fémis , France's largest and most important film school.
