Arne (Siphnos)
Arne ( Greek Ἄρνη ) is a resident of Siphnos in Greek mythology . In exchange for gold, she betrayed her home island to Crete's king Minos , who then went to the field against Siphnos. As a punishment, the gods turned Arne into a jackdaw , who was also very greedy for gold.
