Arne Tode (born June 30, 1985 in Bergen ) is a German motorcycle racer .

In 2010 he competed in the Moto2 class of the motorcycle world championship for Racing Team Germany on Suter .

Career

Beginnings

  • 1995: Arne Tode began his career in the minibike class.
  • 1999: He won his first title in the ADAC Junior Cup
German championship
  • 2000: 22nd place - IDM - 125 cm³
  • 2001: 20th place - IDM - 125 cm³
  • 2002: Tode was promoted to the four-stroke class and finished 13th in the IDM Supersport
  • 2003 to 2008: From year to year he improved in the IDM-Supersport and was crowned champion in 2006 and 2008 . He won a total of eleven races. As a wildcard driver, he took part in a number of World Cup Supersport races during these years, but never got into the points.

In 2009 Arne Tode was promoted to the IDM Superbike class. He competed in the G-LAB Racing team on a Honda CBR 1000 RR and celebrated his first race win in the second race at the Nürburgring . A short time later he achieved victory number two at the Sachsenring . Tode was fifth overall with 159 points.

Moto2 class

In 2010 Arne Tode started in the newly created Moto2 class of the motorcycle world championship for the Racing Team Germany from Dirk Heidolf on Suter . After 16 races of the season so far, he is 38th in the World Cup with two points; his best result was a 14th place in the British GP at the Silverstone Circuit . At the German Grand Prix, Tode qualified for second place on the grid, but was only last after a fall.
