Since the founding years, SRT has positioned itself as a constant in international motorcycle racing with a focus on powerful engines , chassis systems, clutch systems and various add-on parts. SRT later expanded its field of activity to globally marketed prototypes, drive systems and concept vehicles.

In the past the company was involved in the development of racing machines of various classes. Among other things, they worked on the 500 cm³ machine MuZ 500 from MZ , which Eskil Suter still piloted in the World Championship, the Petronas FP1 , which was used by Carl Fogarty in the Superbike World Championship , the 250 cm³ Fantic - Grand Prix prototypes as well as the MotoGP machines Ilmor SRT X³ and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR .

Since 2010 , Suter Racing Technology has been represented with the Suter MMX in the newly created Moto2 class of the motorcycle world championship . In the first year, 13 regular drivers were equipped, four victories with Shōya Tomizawa , Jules Cluzel , Roberto Rolfo and Stefan Bradl and won the first Moto2 constructors' championship . In the following season you could defend this title successfully. In 2012 , Suter was also the constructors' world champion in the Moto2 class and also provided the driver's world champion for the first time in history with the Spanish driver Marc Márquez .

In 2013 , the new Kalex bike was now superior to Suter, but Aspar drivers Nicolás Terol and Jordi Torres were still able to win four races on Suter. Also in 2014 was followed by two Suter wins by the Interwetten Padock team with Thomas Luthi and by the Technomag-CarXpert team with Dominique Aegerter . But after these two teams decided on a joint venture , they also switched to Kalex.

In November 2015, Suter announced that it would retire from the Moto2 class. No constructor's license will be obtained for the 2016 season . The engagement in the Moto3 class with Mahindra is not affected by this decision.

In 2017 Suter returned as a designer.
