Dominique Aegerter (born September 30, 1990 in Rohrbach , Canton of Bern ) is a Swiss motorcycle racer .

In the 2007 season , the Swiss, starting for Team Multimedia Racing on Aprilia , achieved 23rd place in the World Championship with seven points. In the 2010 season he started on Suter for the Technomag-CIP team in the Moto2 class of the motorcycle world championship .

His greatest success so far is winning the 2014 German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring , where he was able to start from pole position for the first time .

For the 2017 season, Aegerter switched to the Kiefer Racing team . After two years on Kalex he went there again on Suter . At the San Marino Grand Prix he achieved his second career victory, which, however, was revoked by the FIM race stewards after the Japanese Grand Prix . The reason given was a prohibited engine oil .

After 2019, Aegerter left Moto2 after ten years and switched to the MotoE World Cup . In the very first race he finished third straight away on the podium and also achieved his first podium in the world championship in almost five years.
