Arnekhamani
( loved by Amun - Amun = Amani is only written once)
in Egyptian hieroglyphics

Arnekhamani was a Nubian king.

He is mainly known from his construction work on the Apedemak temple in Musawwarat es Sufra , which he probably also built. The temple is unfinished; likely the ruler died before he could finish it. His burial place and thus his pyramid are unknown. Arnekhamani can be found around the time of 220 BC. To be dated. The ruler changed his royal name from “Arnekhamani beloved by Amun” to “Arnekhamani beloved by Isis”. The latter is clearly based on the name of Ptolemy IV , the 221 BC. BC ascended the throne and called himself "loved by Isis".
