Arnold von Protzan

Arnold von Protzan (* probably 1293 ; † 1342 ) was the author of the formula books important for Silesia .

Life

Arnold von Protzan was pastor there in 1268, when the parish of Protzan was first mentioned in a document. In 1318 he is referred to in the interest register of Archpriest Gabriel of Rimini as "Magister, Canonicus Wratislava et rector ecclesia de proziano". He was also an episcopal notary, archdeacon of Glogau, episcopal court judge from 1304-1318 and, after the death of Bishop Heinrich von Würben, temporarily “administrator in spiritualibus” of the diocese of Breslau .
