Aromar Revi

Aromar Revi (* 1961 in Kochi ) is an Indian climate scientist and author. He heads the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS).

Life

Ravi studied at IIT Delhi and Delhi University . He has worked as an advisor to various government ministries, United Nations institutions and companies.

Act

Ravi is a specialist in disaster prevention and management in South Asia as well as global environmental changes , in particular for adapting to and containing climate change .

Ravi is one of the main co-ordinating authors for the Urban Areas chapter in the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report (2014). He is also one of the authors of the IPCC's special report on global warming of 1.5 degrees (2018).
