Arsakes (satrap)
Arsakes († after 329 BC) was a governor of Alexander the great in Asia.
Arsakes was a Persian and was born in 330 BC. Appointed satrap of the province of Areia by Alexander . In the same year he was entrusted with the administration of the Drangiana Province . But already in the following year he was removed from his offices by Stasanor for reasons not mentioned and brought in chains to Alexander in Bactria . His further fate is unknown; Stasanor took over its provinces.
