Arteria circumflexa ilium superficialis

The arteria circumflexa ilium superficialis ("superficial artery surrounding the iliac bone") is an artery in the groin region .

The superficial circumflex iliac artery arises from the femoral artery , pierced in the area of the saphenous the fascia and then runs along the inguinal ligament on the anterior iliac spine ( anterior superior iliac spine to). There it anastomoses with the deep circumflex artery .
