Inferior laryngeal artery

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The inferior laryngeal artery ("lower larynx artery") - referred to in animal anatomy as the caudal laryngeal artery - is an artery of the neck. It springs from the lower thyroid artery and attracts, accompanied by the recurrent laryngeal nerve in the trachea upwards to the back of the larynx ( larynx ). There it is covered by the inferior constrictor pharyngis muscle .

The inferior laryngeal artery supplies the part of the larynx below the glottis with arterial blood.
