Superior phrenic artery

The superior phrenic artery (Latin for 'upper diaphragmatic artery') is an artery in the chest cavity of humans. It arises in pairs from the thoracic part of the aorta and is the most important supply vessel for the diaphragm . It is supplemented by the arteria phrenica inferior , the arteria pericardiacophrenica and the arteria musculophrenica .
