Arthur the ghost

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arthur the Ghost is a comic series written and drawn by the comic author Jean Cézard and first appeared as Arthur le fantôme justicier in issue no. 449 of December 20, 1953 of the comic magazine Vaillant . The author continued to write for the comic magazine that was last called Pif Gadget until his death in 1977 . The comic appeared in Germany in issues 386 to 421, 429 to 432, and 440 to 442 of the comic magazine Yps and in the comic magazine Felix .

As Gérard Thomassian noted, the creation of this comic figure was a turning point in Cézard's career, since then the realist has been unable to abandon the comic genre in his later works and was the author of Les Rigolus et les Tristus ( Joker contra Tröpfle ), Surplouf le petit corsaire ( Happy, the little corsair) and other works.

Arthur, the ghost , had new adventures in the computer magazine Pif Gadget between 1982 and 1988. The comics were created by the young comic author, Mircea Arapu , who showed a passion for the work of Cézard.
