Joker versus cup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joker contra Tröpfle with the subtitle Invasion from the Howling Planet (in the original: Les Rigolus et les Tristus ) is a French comic series.

Emergence

The comic series was written and drawn by the comic author Jean Cézard and published in the comic magazine Vaillant (see also Pif Gadget ). The series was introduced in 1969 as part of a story by Arthur, the ghost , the ghost was briefly included in the stories later. As an homage to the Asterix series, the names of the characters in the form of Latin puns are to be understood. In Germany, the stories appeared as a regular part of the Felix large volumes.

action

While the red-clad Jokers laugh a lot, spend their time doing nothing, but are also inventive and helpful, their opponents, the green-clad jokers with blue skin, are constantly anxious to defeat the Joker with insidious plans. To this end, they invent, for example, destructive and terrifying machines, which, however, are usually not fully developed or can be defended against. If you succeed in making a joker sad, it will also turn into a drip - but this can also be reversed. The plot of the series is very similar from story to story: After initial successes and possibly converted jokers, the jokers gain the upper hand through their composure and creativity. The leaders of the troops are retreating.

World and characters

The world of the happening, the giggle star, has a futuristic design with its buildings and furniture. The border between the land of the Joker with the Grinsburg and that of the Tröpf is marked by a dashed line. The figures wear funny hats, which, depending on their character, range from smurf hoods to convict hats - as with the inventor of the pot, who is sometimes referred to as sour mustard and sour pot in the German translation. The aggressive leader of the droplets, sorrel, is long and narrow, he wears a "T" on the top of his clothing and his cap protrudes far above his head with several folds. The abbreviations of letters on the clothing of three pots indicate the names of the French original: "T" for Taciturnus, "M" for Morfondus and "D" for the inventor Déplorus. Morfondus is the underdog or shadow of Taciturnus, who is also exposed as a joker by the ghost Arthur in an episode. Since he is rarely introduced as a character in the stories, his role remains elusive for the reader. The leader of the Joker Jubilus Grinskus is plump and cozy, he wears a white ruff and a stem-like headgear with a white or red ring at the top. The inventor of the Joker is called Juxus and wears a kind of chef's hat . Other characters are introduced by name only in individual episodes.
