Artur Plokšto

Artur Plokšto (born July 16, 1961 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1979 with awards at the 19th middle school, he completed a diploma in semiconductor physics from 1979 to 1984 at the Vilniaus universitetas (VU). From 1984 to 1989 he worked as an engineer at the Faculty of Physics at VU, from 1989 to 1992 as editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Nasza gazeta” by Lietuvos lenkų sąjunga . From 1992 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas , and in 2004 a member of the European Parliament . In 2007 he was secretary at the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania .

From 1989 to 1995 he was a member of Lietuvos lenkų sąjunga , from 1999 of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
