Arturo Ossorio Arana

Arturo Ossorio Arana (born November 8, 1902 in the Partido Morón , † December 6, 1967 ) was an Argentine military.

Life

He studied at the Colegio Militar de Argentina, at the Escuela Superior Técnica and from 1937 to 1940 in the German Reich . On his return to Argentina, he was in command of the artillery and head of the artillery school. With Eduardo Lonardi , he was the leading conspirator against Juan Perón . From 1957 to 1958 he was Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Argentina . His nephew Alfredo Ossorio was a member of the Movimiento Nacionalista Tacuara .

From September 25 to November 10, 1955, Ossorio was governor of the province of Buenos Aires . From November 10, 1955 to March 20, 1957, he was Minister of the Army in the government cabinets of Eduardo Lonardi and Pedro Eugenio Aramburu .
