Arxan
Arxan ( Chinese 阿尔山 市 , Pinyin Ā'ěrshān Shì ; Mongolian ᠷᠠᠰᠢᠶᠠᠨ ᠬᠣᠲᠠ Arxaan hôt ) is an independent city in the northwest of the Hinggan League in the northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It is located on the Tao'er He River . The Baicheng-Arxan railway line ( Bai-A tielu ) runs through the town. The administrative area of the independent city has an area of 7,409 km² and approx. 50,000 inhabitants (2004).
Administrative structure
At the community level, Arxan is made up of three street districts and four large communities . These are:
- Quarter Road Linhai (林海街道);
- Wenquan Street District (温泉 街道);
- Xincheng Street District (新城 街道);
- Greater community Bailang (白狼镇);
- Greater community Mingshuihe (明水河镇);
- Tianchi Municipality (天池 镇);
- Large municipality of Wuchagou (五 岔沟 镇).
