Arzu film

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arzu Film Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. , abbreviated as Arzu Film , is a Turkish film production company founded in 1963 by the producer and director Ertem Eğilmez and the well-known Turkish actor Kartal Tibet . The current managing director is Ferdi Eğilmez , the son of one of the founders.

Arzu Film is one of the largest film production companies in Turkey and has created numerous Turkish box office hits, some of which are still among the evergreens of Turkish film today. Arzu Film played a not insignificant role in Turkish film history. Since it was founded, the production company has delivered good commercial goods in all popular genres. This is how, for example, the film series about the superhero Tarkan came about, as well as the Turkish variety of spaghetti westerns . The production company continues this tradition to this day.

The Turkish film actor Şener Şen , who later became famous, was offered his first supporting role ( Badi Ekrem in Hababam Sınıfı ) by Arzu Film in 1975 , after he had not gotten beyond that of an extras. The first offer of a leading role came from Ertem Eğilmez and his Arzu Film, but was ultimately rejected in favor of another role. The actor Kemal Sunal , discovered by Ertem Eğilmez in 1973, also had his first major role in Hababam Sınıfı .
