The Asago Art Forest ( Japanese さ ご 芸 術 の 森 ; Asago geijutsu no mori , eng. Asago Art Village ) exhibits modern sculptures of today's sculpture near the Japanese city ​​of Asago in the Hyōgo prefecture of the Kansai region .

Overall complex

The ten hectare park is located in the Tataragi Valley by the Okutataragi pumped storage power plant in the east of Asago, which was opened to the public in 2001. In the sculpture park there is a permanent exhibition of sculptures and there is a regular Asago open-air sculpture exhibition. The park was laid out in a preparation period of eight years. In the former office of the Kansai Electric Power Company , which is located at the facility, a museum for sculptures has been realized, the Asago-Kunstdorf-Museum , and there is also a concert podium in the nearby Asago-Ecopark .
