Asat Arzach ( Armenian Ազատ Արցախ, meaning "Free Arzach "; Russian Азат Арцах , English Azat Artsakh ) is the official newspaper of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic . It was founded on June 16, 1923 in Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast and is published in Armenian and Russian .

The daily was known by several names, it was originally founded as Gegchuk (Armenian Գեղջուկ, meaning "villager"). The name was then changed to Khorherdajin Karabakh (arm. Խորհրդային Ղարաբաղ - " Soviet Karabakh "), and later in Arzach (arm. Արցախ, Arzach is the Armenian equivalent for Nagorno Karabakh). With the establishment of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic , it was renamed the Karabakh Mountain Republic (ԼՂ Հանրապետություն in Armenian) and then finally and finally Asat Azrach .

The newspaper also has an online edition in Armenian, Russian and English .
