asch-Schaʿb (Baghdad)

Asch-Schaʿb ( Arabic الشعب, DMG aš-Šaʿb ; also al-Schaab ) is a district of Baghdad in the northeast of the al-Aʿzamiyya district . It is divided into the districts east, south and north. The residents are predominantly Shiite .

On May 16, 2016, 38 people were killed in a car bomb attack in asch-Schaʿb.
