The Ascrib Islands are a group of islands to the north of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland . They are located in Loch Snizort between the Waternish and Trotternish peninsulas in the northwest of the Isle of Skye .

The following islands belong to this group (from north to south):

  • Eilean Iosal
  • Eilean Creagach
  • Sgeir a 'Chuain
  • Sgeir a 'Chapuill
  • Eilean Garave
  • South Ascrib
  • Scalp rock

There is an uninhabited house on South Ascrib, the largest island. The islands were for sale in the late 1990s. They were acquired by Peter Palumbo, Baron Palumbo .

The Ascrib Islands, Isay and Loch Dunvegan have been a Natura 2000 area since 2005 to protect the seals ( Phoca vitulina ) living there .
